SlickRun – Floating Command Line Tool

SlickRun is a Free little floating 32bit command line shortcut utility that allows you to launch programs, applications, websites, jot quick notes, and more using command aliases known as "Magic Words" that accomplish the task. More functionality can be added by creating new Magic Words. SlickRun typically starts hovering above your system tray and can also be minimized to the tray. Neat little tool for what it is.  According to the author, "SlickRun is the most natural way to interact with your computer".

How to make SlickRun Portable:

  1. Download SlickRun (sr-setup.exe) to your desktop
  2. Download Universal Extractor and unRaR it's contents to a folder on your desktop
  3. (1) Drag and Drop sr-setup.exe onto UniExtract.exe (2) Click OK Using Universal Extractor to make a Portable Magic Transfer
  4. Move the sr-setup folder from your desktop to your USB device
  5. Create a new text file in the sr-setup folder
  6. Rename the text file slickrun.local
  7. Click sr.exe from the sr-setup folder to run the program
